Sketches and Inspiration

Its hard to decide the line for me between sketching a making a work I love.  Most of the time I sketch in large scale and if I had the means I would be creating in works 4 ft and above.  First I need a studio to make and house those works.  Not to mention the income to support the costs of a studio, frames and canvas.  For now I have began to tape paper together like I did in college.

Anyway the above is a lot about process.  I was looking at my recent sketches and I drew a connection in color. It seems that I'm currently inspired by a yellow-orange color which is very different then my usually reds and teals.  Its in the broken shells I collected from the beach, the images I've ripped out of magazines and my own sketches.  Its funny how I was working subconsciously with this color before the logical side caught on.  My goal is not to over analyze this new direction.

I'll be putting the shell necklaces along with some watercolors up on www.etsy.com.
